Cricket is the 2nd most popular sport in the world after football. And in today's blog I will discuss about the five largest cricket grounds in the world where cricket is played at various national and international levels.   1. First let's talk about the largest cricket stadium in the world. Yes, I am talking about the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in India. This stadium was named after Narendra Modi by the Government of India. It was created in 1982. At present, more than one lakh spectators can sit and watch the game in this stadium. Since this stadium was built, World Cup games have been held here three times. This is the largest cricket stadium in the world.

  2. Another oldest stadium in the world is the Melbourne Cricket stadium. It is the second largest cricket stadium in the world. It was established in 1853. Initially football was played here but later it was renovated and made into a cricket stadium. And the first test match in cricket history was held in this stadium.

  4. Eden Gardens Stadium located in Kolkata, India is at number three position. This stadium can seat 100,000 spectators at a time to watch the game but its capacity was later reduced due to discipline. This traditional stadium of India is the third largest cricket stadium in the world.

  5. The fourth largest cricket stadium in the world is also located in India. Which was established in 2008. The name of this stadium is 'Shaheed Bir Narayan Singh' Cricket Stadium. It is the national stadium of India. International games were held in this stadium for the first time in 2023. As it is the fourth largest stadium in the world, more international games are planned to be held here.

  6. The fifth largest stadium in the world is located in Australia. The name of this stadium is Perth Stadium. Anyone will be mesmerized by the beauty of this stadium. Both cricket and football are played in this magnificent stadium. This stadium was first constructed in 2017 and the first international cricket match was held here in 2018. Around 62,000 spectators can sit together and watch the game in this stadium.
